Co-habiter en Haute-Savoie : mythe ou réalité ?

In continuation of the Grande Concertation carried out at the beginning of 2025, Mountain Wilderness is organizing a local event in the department of Haute-Savoie at Servoz (74310) on the weekend of April 4 and 5, 2026.

Mountain Wilderness, an independent non-profit association under the law of 1901 that works to defend and promote the specificity, beauty and richness of mountain areas, organizes one of the events of the Tour des Massifs in collaboration with four students from Ecologica. The Tour des Massifs is a series of events that will take place throughout the year 2026 in the French mountains, with the aim of reviewing the results of the Grande Concertation conducted in 2025 (which aimed to gather the opinions of the inhabitants of the mountain on the arrival of the Olympics in 2030, in France, on their territory) and to highlight the challenges specific to each massif. In Haute-Savoie, the chosen issue is: cohabitation in the mountains: between wild mountains and mountains to live. With the increase in real estate prices, the diversity of populations, the preservation of natural habitats... so many topics that concern everyone. e of us gather all and all, inhabitants of the mountain. This event will take place over two days, with a first day indoors (in the village hall of Servoz); two Round Tables will be held in the morning, one to talk about diversity of populations, real estate prices, land strategy, seasonal rentals... in Haute-Savoie, and one to talk about the preservation of natural habitats in Haute-Savoie. The afternoon will be held a 2030 Glorieuses workshop. The next day will be an opportunity to do a nature walk supervised and explained by two high mountain guides. With the station of Servoz as a starting point, we will first visit the old Servoz, then we will go up to the Lac Vert or towards the chalets of Ayères (for good walkers). To then have a picnic at our arrival point, then to have an outdoor exchange session with all the participants and supervisors of the walk.
