In 2013, nothing was known about the history of this building purchased by the Chamonix community of communes. After years of research, mysteries have been lifted about this unique house in our valley.

n 2013, we knew almost nothing about the history of this house, only more or less far-fetched stories gleaned here and there. Five years of research, reading documents: letters, notarial deeds, immersing ourselves in genealogies, cross-referencing to produce three brochures and this exhibition. This is how we lifted some mysteries about this unique house in our valley and found its successive owners over the centuries, all exceptional in their field. The history of this lieutenant's house is also the history of Servoz.
